While Hunger Games fans everywhere gear up for the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and the upcoming Thanksgiving  holiday, the team here at Simpli.fi is hosting the Non-Hunger Games Food Drive to benefit the Tarrant Area Food Bank in Fort Worth, TX.

The Tarrant Area Food Bank has been in the community for over 30 years working to eliminate hunger in Fort Worth and 13 surrounding counties. They provide food, education, and other resources to food pantries, soup kitchens, and similar hunger-relief programs.

Business Development Director, Michelle Ghere, spearheaded the company-wide effort, that pits cross-functional teams at the company in a friendly competition to help the non-profit.

“Thanksgiving is a busy season for the advertising industry with Black Friday and Cyber Monday just around the corner,” said Ghere. “This food drive is a great way to meet a real need in our community while reminding us of just how blessed we have been this past year as a growing company.”

In the 13 counties they serve, more than 288,000 children benefit from their work of the Tarrant Area Food Bank and the generosity of people who donate food. Nearly two-thirds of households served have incomes of less than $15,000 a year. Among households seeking food assistance, 52% often have to choose between buying food and paying for utilities.

We invite our clients and partners to join us in this effort to eliminate hunger. We encourage everyone to contribute to your local food bank and hunger relief organizations. To make a donation to the Tarrant Area Food Bank, click here.

And to the Simpli.fi teams competing in the Non-Hunger Games, may the odds be ever in your favor.
