Simpli.fi Appoints Sean McCaffrey as Chief Executive Officer
Media and data leader who scaled GSTV into a national digital video and retail media platform to lead Simpli.fi’s next phase of growth
FORT WORTH, TX – October 20, 2026 – Simpli.fi, the real-world media platform that runs more than 140,000 local and multi-location campaigns a month for over 40,000 advertisers, today named Sean McCaffrey as Chief Executive Officer. McCaffrey brings more than 25 years of experience building media businesses that turn data into measurable outcomes. He joins at a moment when advertisers are demanding sharper precision, proof of impact, and a single partner that connects digital and real-world behavior.
As President & CEO of GSTV, McCaffrey transformed a convenience and fuel screen network into a national digital video, retail media and programmatic platform. He tripled revenue, growing the network to more than 30,000 locations reaching more than 120M+ monthly viewers, and partnered with national brands across CPG, auto, quick-service restaurants, financial services and tech. He more than doubled the workforce and built a culture recognized with several external culture and talent awards. His tenure culminated in the company’s 2025 sale to MidOcean Partners, capping years of sustained growth.
Before GSTV, McCaffrey spent 16 years at Clear Channel Outdoor and iHeartMedia. As EVP of Strategy and Partnerships at Clear Channel, McCaffrey led North American commercial sales and revenue strategy for a $400M+ business, pioneering data-driven, convergent media products and building major agency and brand partnerships. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade across multiple commercial media roles, including Clear Channel Outdoor’s global media markets across 30 countries. McCaffrey serves on the board of the Out-Of-Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) and previously served on the boards of the Ad Council, DPAA and the IAB Video Board.
“Advertisers aren’t asking anymore whether digital and physical belong in the same plan. It’s one consumer experience, and they’re asking who can prove it worked,” said McCaffrey. “I’ve spent close to 30 years on the physical side of this idea, whether it’s a small business or a national brand activating in dozens or thousands of geographies. Simpli.fi is a platform purpose-built for how people actually move between digital and physical, connecting billions of signals in real time and measuring impact all the way to the door, at national and hyper-local scale in equal measure. That’s the foundation the next era of advertising demands, and I couldn’t be more excited to build on it. I’m eager to listen to our customers and team to keep building in this age of immediacy”
The appointment follows the launch of Simpli.Hub, a self-serve platform that gives multi-location brands, franchises and regional agencies the control of corporate with the speed of local, across search, display, CTV, DOOH and more. Under McCaffrey, Simpli.fi will continue to expand both products and measurement that help advertisers prove what works in the real world.
“Independent agencies and local media companies are the heart of our business, and they have to prove ROI on every dollar their clients spend,” said Frost Prioleau, Executive Chairman of Simpli.fi. “Sean has partnered with agencies and advertisers his entire career and he knows how brands buy, how data changes what’s possible, and how to build teams that make us and our partners better together. He is the right leader to accelerate our products and our customers’ growth.”
